"Thanks to Addison's amazing auctioneering skills we raised a mind-blowing £26k for Parkinson's UK, surpassing even our wildest expectations. It was a truly memorable night - thank you!"

“Addison came in and masterfully orchestrated our charity auction. The venue provided quite a challenge with the confined nature of ‘The Ship’s’ space not to mention the rowdy audience however he was able to control the hecklers brilliantly. A combination of vocal authority and sharp wit ensured that focus was kept on the lots but also provided the all-important entertainment element. £4500 was raised on behalf of our charity – The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity which we were delighted with. I certainly hope to work with Addison again and would recommend him to anyone.”

"Thank you so much for all your support with The Action for Children Summer Ball. I’m thrilled to say the event was a fantastic success for Action for Children and with your help, we have raised £95,000 to fund our vital work tackling child neglect. This wouldn’t have been possible without you, over £18,000 was a direct result of you running the Live Auction."

‘On aiming to raise £150,000 for The Wellington Appeal we enlisted Addison’s expertise to help us hit our ambitious target – with hindsight he was the only reason we actually got there! Addison warmed up the audience, had everyone in stitches and then, to put it bluntly, auctioned off our lots for a hell of a lot more than they were worth to some very happy guests!’ – Sam Tidswell-Norrish

Auctioneer and Valuer

Charity Auctioneer

TV Presenter

An auctioneer and valuer for the past 11 years, Addison has been a partner in Criterion Auctioneers of London since and also auctioneered for a number of other salesrooms including Holt’s Antique Gun Auctions for a number of years and Yeovil Auctions.

Addison realised he had a gift for selling in the spotlight and has been a been a regular face on the charity auction circuit, being an auctioneer of choice for many charities big and small:-  Action for Children, Save a Capital Child, Haven Breast Cancer Care, Happy Child, Orphan Trust to name a few…

Most recently, Addison has been the main personality on Channel time 5's  prime time series, 'Storage, Flog the Lot' as their auctioneer and expert. His past appearances have been on BBC's Bargain Hunt and Bargain Hunt 'Famous Find' series as a valuer and auctioneer.

Addison also founded the online subscription site , with some of the industry’s leading experts on antiques, including John Bly from the Antiques Roadshow lecturing on the history of furniture, Lennox Cato talking on investments in antiques and many more in a very informal format, where Addison sits with the experts as the punter asking the expert questions whilst they talk about their preferred subjects.

His early foray into TV was a simple game show of his own invention called Comedy Challenge, which was commissioned by Paramount Comedy Channel for a 22 part series and involved Addison in the West End, asking the public to tell jokes for a pound! This ran for over three years on the channel.

Addison’s interest in antiques started in his early years as his parents were leading dealers in Asian art, specialising in Tibetan bronzes and Thankas. They met in Nepal in the late 1960s.  Travelling the world with his three sisters, his eclectic background gave him the confidence and bravery needed to approach and deal with members of the public – and encourage them to open their wallets  for charitable causes with his witty banter and cheeky grin.

Before moving into the antiques world, Addison set up and managed nightclubs in Oxford and London for 10 years, including the world renowned club “Chinawhites” , so dealing with people is his passion.

Married with two young daughters, he is a keen Rugby player still and fancies himself as a professional backgammon player although he is yet to win any trophies!..
